Biophysiology of Meditation
Combine practice and understanding with this exploratory series on what makes meditation so good for us. Learn the physiological body-based benefits of regular meditation and mindfulness practice and the impact on: stress and sex hormones, neurotransmitters, brain circuitry and function, and both the nervous and immune systems. These explorations of physical benefits are followed by 20-minute meditations and exercises aimed at embodying the theory. Each class will explore a different area of the body, using current research and evidence from the burgeoning field of mindfulness science.
